The RX 5700 XT is an excellent choice for gamers who don’t care much about Ray Tracing and want solid performance at a solid price point. The 5700 XT is a great alternative to the RTX 2070 Super and the RTX 2060 Super which we recommend also checking out before making your final choices. In this top-tie list, we have done our homework for you on the best RTX 5700 XT graphics card. Without wasting your time, let’s kick off starting with number one.

1. Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC

Best Overall RX 5700 XT

Pros

  • Easy to overclock
  • Great thermal efficiency
  • Competitive performance
  • Great value overall

Cons

  • Frustrating software

Boost Clocks: 1905 MHz | RGB LED: Yes | Length In Inches: 11 | Fans: 3

When it comes to the best overall RX 5700 XT you can buy, there is a lot to consider. Especially since there isn’t a particular graphics card that will leave you disappointed. We’re talking about the all-rounder here. This means this graphics card should have performance that is up to par, great cooling, and just be the overall best value.

That model is none other than the Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming OC. This card strikes the perfect balance between price, performance, and thermal efficiency. It is admittedly, not the flashiest looking GPU out there. Gigabyte wasn’t too ambitious, and they just wanted to nail the fundamentals, that’s why it’s so good.

It has a standard cooler design featuring three fans with a standard PCB height. Compared to other vendors, it offers the best cooling performance, second only to the Sapphire Nitro+ (which is a bit more expensive). They use thin thermals pads for better conduction too.

The card is well built and has a strong metal backplate to support it. It’s not too heavy so the card likely won’t sag in your case. Gigabyte also supports the right to repair, and users can replace the fans with aftermarket fans and reapply better thermal pastes without voiding the warranty. Performance is also on par across the board. As we said before, this is the best overall 5700 XT.

2. Sapphire Radeon Nitro+ RX 5700 XT

Best Cooling RX 5700 XT

Pros

  • Best in class cooling
  • No throttling even at full load
  • Great design
  • Highly overclockable

Cons

  • A bit expensive than the rest

Boost Clocks: 2010 MHz | RGB LED: Yes | Length In Inches: 12 | Fans: 3

For the second spot on our list, we decided to go with the one that is the best cooling RX 5700 XT. To be honest, this is a tough one, as cooling is what most users care about the most. It’s not just about keeping the card cool. Keeping the acoustic performance ideal is also important.

After a lot of thinking, we decided to go with the Sapphire Nitro+ RX 5700 XT. Not only it has the best thermally efficient cooling performance, comparatively, but it also has no coil whine and good acoustic performance. The card performs great straight out of the box. No need for an aggressive fan curve here, the stock curve is plenty to keep the card running under ideal temperatures.

Sapphire cards were also part of our roundup for the best RX 580 graphics cards.

Considering how hard it is easy to keep that GDDR6 memory running cool, Sapphire deserves some credit here. Design-wise Sapphire decided to stick with their traditional look. The silver backplate has been updated a bit to accommodate an RGB logo.

The lighting is quite bright, and they even have a small strip of LEDs along the side. It definitely makes the card look good. Performance is also great across the board, and this GPU is highly overclockable due to its efficient cooling technology. An easy recommendation.

3. MSI Gaming RX 5700 XT Evoke OC

Best Design RX 5700 XT

Pros

  • Unique gold shroud
  • Great build quality
  • Compact design

Cons

  • Noisy at full load
  • Thermals could be better

Boost Clocks: 1945 MHz | RGB LED: No | Length In Inches: 10 | Fans: 2

Like it or not, some people will always care more about looks and aesthetics rather than actual performance. This practice is questionable but to each his own. It is understandable, however, as a lot of the cards out there look almost identical. We decided to hunt down a graphics card that can stand out from the crowd.

Saying that a certain video card looks “better” than the rest wouldn’t be an objective take. Design and aesthetics are subjective, so it’s hard to say one card looks better than the other. With all that said, the MSI RX 5700 XT Evoke definitely has the flashiest design we’ve seen in a consumer-grade 5700 XT. Being smaller than other variants, this will definitely pair well with builds in micro-ATX cases.

The first thing you’ll notice is the gold shroud design. Placed in any build, this card will definitely pop and draws immediate attention to itself. The PCB is a bit smaller than the shroud, but the minimalistic design is a nice look that I personally enjoy. Maybe the gold color is a bit much for some people. Hence hold the title for the best design RX 5700 XT.

Apart from that, it’s the same 1440p beast that we know and love. It has three DisplayPorts and one HDMI port. It’s a dual fan card, compared to all the other cards out there which use a triple fan configuration. As for cooling performance that’s where things get interesting.

The thermal performance is decent but not the best. The real issue is with acoustic performance due to the dual fans. This card is noticeably noisier than the rest, so that’s something to consider.

4. XFX RX 5700 XT RAW II

Best Value RX 5700 XT

Pros

  • The best card at MSRP
  • Better cooling than reference design
  • Minimal design

Cons

  • Fans can get loud
  • Little overclocking headroom

Boost Clocks: 1945 MHz | RGB LED: No | Length In Inches: 10 | Fans: 2

We’ve talked about the best all-rounder, best cooling, and the standout design. Still, I know a lot of people who don’t care about any of that, and they’ll just grab any model they can find for the cheapest price. Some folks would even go with the reference design, which I don’t recommend. The blower-style fan is outdated and the thermal performance is disappointing.

So if you need a 5700 XT at MSRP, what is your best option. Well, XFX has the answer to that with the RX 5700 XT Raw II. The first thing I noticed about this card is how streamlined the design is now. I have owned an XFX card for my rig in the past, and it had flashy design elements that looked cheap rather than premium. This was true for the RX 400 and RX 500 series.

Fortunately, this time around they decided to go with a more mainstream look. It uses a full custom black shroud around the PCB and that blends seamlessly with the backplate and the black fans. Speaking of fans, it uses a dual-fan configuration and runs cooler than the reference card. It’s a great card at MSRP, but not without its flaws.

Due to the dual fan configuration, it does get a bit noisy trying to cool that GDDR6 memory. While thermal performance is okay, it doesn’t leave us with a lot of GPU overclocking headroom. If that doesn’t bother you, this is still a great value and hence the best value RX 5700 XT.

5. PowerColor Liquid Devil RX 5700 XT

Best Premium RX 5700 XT

Pros

  • Fastest out of the box performance
  • Incredible thermal performance

Cons

  • 2070 Super could be a better purchase
  • Expensive

Boost Clocks: 2070 MHz | RGB LED: Yes | Length In Inches: 9.45 | Fans: N/A

We’ve covered pretty much everything most users would want out of their RX 5700 XT at this point. So for the last spot on the list, we decided to include something unorthodox. And nothing screams unorthodox quite like the PowerColor Liquid Devil which is the best performing RX 5700 XT GPU on our list.

To be perfectly candid, I’ve rarely seen graphics cards that are so appropriately named. I couldn’t think of a better name than Liquid Devil for this card if I wanted to. Everything from the packaging to the design is all premium. Outside of that, it’s the same 5700 XT with great performance for 1440p gaming.

As you’ve probably guessed by now, this is a custom water-cooled GPU from Powercolor. It has a full-size water block that comes attached to the factory. This is great for people who want a water-cooled graphics card but don’t want to go through the hassle of disassembling a GPU. We would recommend a micro-ATX or a open air case. Basically, something with good airflow.

Powercolor also includes three dyes in the box, so you can customize it to make it your own. The block is manufactured by EKWB and features RGB lighting. By far the best thermal performance in any 5700 XT. However, it is very expensive and even pricer than a few RTX 2070 Super GPUs, so it can be called the best premium RX 5700 XT.
